I act different because I AM different.

About Me

OK...let me start this by saying I'm not "conventional" I think more like a guy than a woman, I don't get jealous (not to be confused with plain mad!) and I try very hard to be fair to everyone. I don't think I'm pretty, so I never think of myself as competing with other women because it's a waste of time & energy. I don't always like myself but I do have confidence. If this were still the 60's I'd probably be called one of them crazy "free spirits" - all I know is, I'm basically happy. I'll give what I get and not ask for more... NOW.... 1) NOT interested in "hooking up" or trying to find a date/sex buddy/boyfriend or husband. 2) AM interested in chatting with other musicians or the people who know them & network... 3) AM here to communicate with my friends & bandmates. Is this clear enough? I know some people use MySpace like a free dating page but that's not what I'm about. I sowed my wild oats in my 20's & 30's and don't want or need a guy to "validate" me. That said, no, I'm NOT against being with a guy, I'm just not looking. If I trip over some, who knows! I'm very lucky to have the friends I do and cherish them. There are some who have passed thru my life, sadly...but I keep the good memories of them all with me, always. My favorite place to be is Salem, MA in the Fall...there is something about the air there and the atmosphere that has always drawn me to it & it's wild to go on Halloween! Great costumes & people seem to really be more cordial; I guess sometimes its' easier when you look like someone or something else? Love my tattoos ~ they are my history and everything I am; the latest is my wristband, it's the band's logo "ALLENS" and I'm very proud of it & the people it also stands for - my guys! Frank, Billy, Kats, Skip and Bear...as well as the ladies of the band who I consider my sisters and then some. My other tats are: a voodoo symbol, a set of Harley wings, Joplin's Piece of My Heart/R.Crumb, a folk-art heart, a rose, lace cheval around my bellyring, Zorro, the Sorcerer's Apprentice with a moon & moondust/stars and finally, Motley Crue that I customed (but thinking of having it covered with a crocodile silhouette). I am a crocodilan freak. All of 'em but especially alligators...I just think they're cute! Still love Motley, don't get me wrong but now that I'm sporting my own band's name, I feel like having another band name on me is like cheating...for now, tho, Motley stays on my belly. I've been meeting some incredible and wonderful people lately who are in bands in the local area as well as some rockin people who hang out & work with them and just wanted to give them a nod cuz they rawk my world and I thank MySpace for giving me the opportunity to link up with all of them!

My Interests

Music, Books, Animals, protecting my rights as an American citizen, understanding (or trying!) other people and their cultural differences, forensics, law, archeology, decorating & art, occult, history. The love of my life is Iggi - he's around 24-lbs, furry, sweet, funny, bratty and adorable. He's a 3-yr old mostly Maine Coon cat who my landlady talked me into adopting and I've never regretted it. He walks on a leash, fetches, lets me give him tubbies & is my bestest pal. Oh yeh...I guess I should say I like guys -with a good sense of humor I can be myself with, who "get" I'm not out there to hook one of them. Been there! done that! Not goin' back! The only "guy" in my home is the fuzzy one mentioned above - anyone else will be a temporary visitor at best.

I'd like to meet:

Bill Clinton, Tommy Lee. Hmm....seems like there are similarities there....altho T-bone isn't a Rhodes Scholar. Would have loved to meet Janis Joplin or Jim Morrison (or at least got drunk with them!) After reading two auto-biographies on Eleanor Roosevelt I really wish I could have met & talked with her ~ this woman was so ahead of her time (and sorely missed as a voice of reason in the current political climate). She honestly tried to make the best of this country & believed in it. Geronimo, Crazy Horse...because I truly believe Native Americans deserve a voice and were certainly kinder to this country we call our own. Finally, with his passing, wish I could have met Steve Irwin...but since that is an impossibilty now, I'd still love to meet his wife & kids & all his crocs.

Music:

Most music altho not fond of opera, twangy overdone country or rap. All rock, from the 50's to now, classical, Latin, disco (oh shut up! I just cop to it), jazz, blues, etc. try to be discriminating in my tastes....R Carlos Nakai... Motley, gimme Cult!...Kinks!...Yardbirds!, Stones!, Doors!, Janis!, The Donnas...and then there's Bach, Lizt, ad infinitum...and let me just mention some local talent that deserves to be mentioned: my own guys of course as well as The Raw, Promised Eden, RIPT, SSB, The Fighting Cocks, King Rex, Sharky, Musclecah, Jaded, Jimmy D'Angelo and Deep Six....

Movies:

OLD favs: Bell~Book & Candle, Auntie Mame, To Kill A Mockingbird, Holiday Inn/White Christmas, Philadelphia Story and the old horror classics (Dracula, Frankenstein, The (org) Mummy, The Wolfman....NEW FAVS: The Mummy, Practical Magic, Murphy's Romance, Sense & Sensibility, From Dusk Till Dawn, Mask Of Zorro, Pirates of the Caribbean...and then the Mel Brooks stuff - Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Dead & Loving It...

Television:

ER, Gilmore Girls, all of the Law & Orders, both CSI's, History Channel, Discovery, Food, HGTV, Weather Channel, Animal Planet (yup, I adored the Croc Hunter, mates); reruns of Buffy, Sex & the City. I HATE sports, don't watch sit-coms, game shows, or so-called "reality" shows. CUZ THEY SUCK.

Books:

Preference: murder mysteries (fiction or non), occult sciences, voodoo; James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Tami Hoag, Agatha Christie...also books on Salem, MA or New Orleans and haunted areas, nature, history...and abnormal pychology...

Heroes:

My mom, Eleanor Roosevelt, Zorro, The Irwins, my bandmates & their wives / also Jimi & Ronnie from SSB,plus Butch! and last but certainly not least, my best friend Joceline who I love and trust implicitly & completely.
