About Me

..The thing is, I'm not really sure what the thing is.
I'm happy though. There are so many unanswered questions and things to stress about, but I'm happy. There's a reason and he protects feet and stings people. Seriously. Sometimes they are allergic and they can even die. Like in that "My Girl" movie. But don't take that the wrong way. He's great. Really awesome and really great. I get mushy about it sometimes. A lot of the time really. Today, for instance, I looked at him and realized how lucky I was to have him with me and I started to cry a little bit. But I won't do that here. I won't get too mushy here. I hate the word "breath-taking" and the phrase "takes my breath away" but that's what he does. Okay, that was the only mushy thing I'll say.
What else?? I'm generally not very cool or friendly or outgoing. Not most of the time, though I do have my moments. The friends I have are great: they're people I know I can trust and who've been around with me for years. I'm happy to know that we've been through such a plethora of experiences, both good and bad, and that we've come out with a lot of memories, great laughs, and a fairly complete understanding of one another. And it'll only grow from here.
I'm excited for everything to grow. If you want to be a part of the growth, message me and we'll figure out where we belong.

My Interests

Benedetto. Things like gender, sexuality, queer theory, transgender issues, the topic of shame (especially in relation to illness), queer identities in the past and thinking about possible queerities from long ago. My dog, Phil. Photographing people and things.

Steee-vieee

I just got back upstairs from switching the clothes from the washer to the drier. To see, of course, Stevie at the entrance of his apartment locking the door or something. I try to avoid him as much a...

Shooting digitally through the Argus (620 mm, I think)

So I just wanted to post these because I'm pretty excited about them. I shot using two digital cameras through this old Argus box camera that I bought at a thrift store. Pretty cool, eh?   Hot a...

Really, this is my last year? What am I supposed to do with my life after this? So yeah, school just started last week. I'm taking three philosophy classes and one women's studies class. I'll be going...

The day that I called "today" yesterday.

Things that brought me from a post-work high to a scary low today: money trouble, alone/loneliness, an empty house.I hate having to worry about money constantly. When I'm grown I don't want ...

Inflation within a perfect day.

Today was a lovely day, ignoring the fact that I had to go into work this morning. After that though, I came home and gave Shoobie hugs and kisses and we watched a little bit of a movie called "Mask" ...

Just wanting to know if we're stupid....

You know that Miller Lite commercial with the girl at the party? She's like, "I don't know how it happened; I'm usually so careful." And the guy at the party saves her from drinking a watered-down lig...

7th grade current events project.

So I suppose I'm going to be a photographer. Have my own photography company? I guess that's where I'm going. I feel very "docile body" about this. I just sort of feel like things and people's opinion...

Lake Michigan is an ocean.

So doing my paper today, I was still up at 6 am (and I'm still up now), and I looked outside my window to see a beautiful sunrise forming. Here are some pictures:   This was looking out of my wi...

Attempts at housewife.

I'm feeling strange today. Ironically it was somewhat of a good day, with me presenting a portion of Foucault's History of Sexuality and pretty much nailing it on the head. And actually talking in cla...
