My name is Az aka AlkatrAz, I study music technology and DJ/produce. I'm a Leeds lad born and bred, Yorkshire! Yorkshire! I work to party, and to collect music, digital or vinyl. I spin DnB mainly as a passion, i mix dnb grime house bassline funk deep chunky any music that stirs a party, but i Love Drum and Bass. I get excited, over silly shit, i'm passionate about a lot of things. Within the last year I have played at various events in Leeds and surrounding areas,Drum and Bass events I have played at this year are Metropolis, The Atrium, The offical Zoo after party, the offical Unity Day after party @ the West Indian Centre, the Radio Frequency Birthday Bash @ Wire, Bass @ Barhome, Tower Block Dreams @ Mint Club.
I have played electro house as a resident @ FILTH @ Barhome.
I now have a residency with United Bassline / Gridlocked Recordings playing in Leeds @ Mint Club once a month and playing most Saturdays @ Base in Wakefield.
I am also a guest DJ @ Hanky Panky
and of course playing my weekly set on the Big bad Radio Frequency 88.1FM!! every friday 11pm-1am, with the DJ Mental. BASS SESSIONS!!
