Hmmmm. I'm weird with films, in that I can never remember the plot, but I can remember whether or not I liked the film. So here are some films that I know I like, without necessarily remembering what happens in them... if that makes sense.
E.T. (still makes me cry at the end), all the Poltergeist films, Jaws, Alien/s, The Sword in the Stone, The Boy Who Could Fly, all the Evil Dead films, Me and You and Everyone We Know (man, this film fills me with happiness), Shaun of the Dead, From Dusk Till Dawn, Fight Club, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Twelve Monkeys, Audition, The Fifth Element, The Dark Crystal, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Labyrinth, The Shining, The Elephant Man (I never knew that a film could make so many tears come out of me), The Wicker Man, Deliverence.

The Mortdecai Trilogy, Lord of the Rings etc... The 13 and a half Lives of Captain Bluebear and anything else by Walter Moers, Fup, The Dice Man, Girfriend In a Coma, Harry Potter, Raymond Carver short stories, His Dark Materials trilogy, oh and Psychic Self Defence by Dion Fortune - without a doubt one of the most inadvertantly hilarious pieces of factual prose I have ever read.
