About Me

On most days I wake up knowing that what I do is hopefully making these world a better place, at least as water resources go. It's a lofty goal, just the basic education can go a long way towards sustaining our life blood. After work, it all goes down hill from there. Idealism be damned. I want to drink a beer. I want to stare lazily up at the clouds. And I don't want to do a damn thing. But what really happens? I plan and scheme the next backyard adventure or roadtrip. I'm packed, prepared to go anywhere, and I travel light. It's the experience of the journey that I crave no matter how minuscule or ambitious the itinerary is. It's a fine balance between spontaneity, commitment, and follow through. Being easily amused, I don't mind getting sidetracked to indulge in meandering conversations that have no end or beginning (but still carry a point) over a game of cribbage. And when I need solace, I find my peace with the streams & rivers, build character in the wilderness, and strength from mountaintops.
