hello everyone! i am really excited, having just moved back to pittsburgh again. we returned from a glorious four years in ohio. now we reside on mt washington, and i still work at brueggers, but this one has a drive thru for those lazy bastrds! whats that, you like music, me too!i like.. hiking music being outside rock climbing black beans and rice sweet potato fries dogs green tea black coffee parliment lights bass guitar steelers la chouffe my granny bag sleeping my glasses cooking swimming science carribean food morocco burt's bees grocery shopping improbability nelson ledges quarry parki don't like... cats math onions olives dirty towels doing the dishes gin flossing seafood stupid movies george bush laundry day clothes shopping normality

My Interests

i enjoy being outside and hanging out with my son, dylan, who is a really cool little kid. i also like going to concerts and playing some sports.

well, since you asked...i like yonder mountain string band, phish (and side projects), grateful dead (and side projects), bela fleck, euphonic brew, benevento/russo duo, keller williams, tea leaf green, galactic, STS9, soulive, karl denson, hot buttered rum string band, railroad earth, ekoostik hookah, robert randolph, burning river band, perpetual groove, mars volta, umphrey's mcgee, liquid soul, kaki king, sultans of bing, gov't mule, leftover salmon, moe., jazz is dead, and on the outskirts of the jam band category... red hot chili peppers, incubus, tool, fiona apple, stone temple pilots, billy joel, cat stevens, bob dylan, charlie daniels, george clinton and the parliment funkadelic, james brown(pre-pcp), tower of power, the simon complex, jimi hendrex, johnny cash, willie nelson, and primus, frog birgade, oysterhead, colonol claypool's bucket of bernie brains... les claypool can do no wrong!

Movies:

a few favorites are....alice's restaurant, the birds, fear and loathing in las vegas, anything from hayao miyazaki, where the buffalo roam, walk the line, rent, outside out, juno, i heart huckabees, waynes world, snatch, and my countless collection of musical dvd's.

Television:

no reservations with anthony bourdain, steeler's games, mystery science theatre 3000, good eats, weeds, and south park.

Books:

Just finished Les Claypool's South of the Pumphouse. It is twisted in only the way Les can twist. Great. Now it's Ralph Steadman's(the co-founder of gonzo) book The Joke's Over. And Jane Kramer's Allen Ginsberg in America. And right now I am reading a book my friend Hannah got me called I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell. It is awesome.

Heroes:

maybe my dad since he's had several heart attacks and still smokes over a pack a day and drinks iron city (pgh beer CRAP) by the case.
