Foothill Folk Society

About Me

The Foothill Folk Society is a group of local artists working to make Chillicothe a interesting place to come for music and art. We want to bring people to Chillicothe for the talent that is already here. We are a group made up of mainly musicians (at the moment) with the common ground of being sick of competing with televisions and games for the audience's attention. We believe that there is too much talent in and around Chillicothe, Ohio for it to be wasted. Our vision is to work as a group to achieve goals set in our community instead of each musician and artist functioning separately. Chillicothe has a lot of potential and we want to make an effort to change the fact that the only place to go to hear music is a bar.
The Foothill Folk Society will be hosting The Foothill Folk Festival at The Majestic Courtyard on Sunday, June 7th. This will be a FREE event lasting from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. The members of the Society will be performing in groups during the duration of the afternoon. We would appreciate your support, so come out and enjoy the music and company!
We have also been discussing an environmentally friendly Earth Day Festival to be held next year.
