Here is how the story goes....I started off at 12 years old playing the congas at my church(just for fun).Until 2 years later my parents bought me a Salvador live cd,because they thought it had good conga playing in it.I liked it so much I bought the dvd.Their conga player's name was Eliot Torres,I thought he was the best. And as I was watching the dvd my mom told me God had showed her that I was supposed to go to a concert, and that what I see at the concert will open my eyes to what God has called me to do.A couple months later,my mom had heard from a friend that Jaci Velasquez was having a concert five minutes away from our house. We knew nothing about Jaci Velasquez at the time, but my mom said it was the right concert. We had front row seats. My parents and I got excited when we saw there was a percussionist. And as he was playing my dad and I looked at eachother like,(this guy sure plays a lot like the guy from salvador). But we couldn't recognize who he was. Then Jaci Velasquez started introducing her band, and when she had said the name Eliot Torres I could not believe my ears!!...After a moment like that,I know the truth is God does hear my most secret thoughts.I hope one day,God will use me like he did Eliot Torres. And I want to continue to grow in my gifting, and also meet more awesome percussionist and musicians!!
