I love music with a passion but I've never taken time to learn an instrument, I love reading books and poetry but have never really written anything either. Travelling is a brilliant thing for me, it doesnt even have to be to far off and exotic places (though that's cool too) travel round your own country its got some funky places and history only the tourists normally find out.
I started thinking of a list of names of people that I respect and think would be fascinating to meet and talk to, but frankly the list was getting huge and basically I think I just enjoy meeting people in general, its fun and interesting (though in the case of some people kind of depressing)so go out and talk to someone, anyone (possibly not the big angry skinhead though, but maybe even him we all need a hug sometimes)
Chances are there's at least one song in almost every genre that I like, some more than others. as for genres I never know what the hell people call it all anyway with so many classifications and groupings, stop penning yourself in just to keep others out dammit (sorry started a rant there) Benny Goodman, Nina Simone, The Beatles, Metallica, Tool, Three Days Grace, Three Doors Down, Blink 182, Green Day, Offspring, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Carl Orf, Motzart, Tzaikovsky, Hoobastank, Moby, Lemonjelly, Lemon Demon, The Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, The Blue Hearts, Electric Light Orchestra, Marilyn Manson, Christina Aguilera (not so many of hers but I vaguely recall liking one of them), Eminem, Fatboy Slim, Everlast, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Dragonforce, Queen, The Departure, Coldplay, Enya, Incantation (more a style of musci but I cant remember the artists for "panpipes of the andes"), Rasputina, Creed, Goo Goo DOlls, Travis, Levellers, Lindisfarne, The Blues Brothers, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Millencolin, Rolling Stones, Space, The animals, The bluetones, The Faint, Santana, Jimmy Hendrixgetting the idea yet?
similar to music really action, comedy, some "chick flicks", gangster films, surreal films, horror. Basically anything that is decently written (totally subjective and stupid statement but that doesnt mean its any less true) If it just relies on swearing/gore/tits to get away with having no dialogue drivel for a plot crappy editing etc. then its no good... unless its one of those bmovies which is so horrific its come through the other side and is actually pure comedy. Then its GREATwhether its animated, cgi, film etc. makes no difference to whether I like it or not really, though it obviously changes a lot of how the film is done and comes across...hmmm guess that means it does affect how i feel but I know what I meanrough idea of what I can think of right now. Leon, Howl's moving castle, Lock Stock and 2 smoking Barrels, Ong Bak, The One, The Matrix (the first one), Martha Meet Frank Daniel and Laurence, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Dodgeball, Killbill (both), Eight Legged Freaks, Pitch Black, Kung Fu Hustle, The Ladykillers (ealing comedy version), Monty Python's The Holy Grail, Dark City, The Crow, The Ring (japanese version I havent seen the american one), Sneakers, Tremors 1+2 (i havent seen 3+4 but I want to), The 13th Warrior, Desperado, Once Upon A Time in Mexico, Oceans Eleven,Constantine, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, The Italian Job, Galaxy Quest, Amelie, Delicatessen, The Curse of the Were Rabbit, The Pirates of the Carribbean (all of them), The Princess Bride, Space Balls, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Blazing Saddles, Mash, The Usual Suspects, Shawshank Redemption,

this bit is kind of a mish-mash (not to be confused with a monster mash which is another thing entirely) of book titles and authors where I've read too many of the books to bother writing down all of themNeil Gaiman Neverwhere, (Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett) Good Omens, The Discworld series - Terry Pratchett , The Player of Games - Ian M. Banks, The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings by J.R.R.Tolkein, Surely You're Joking Mr Feynman, David Eddings, David Gemmel, Isaac Azimov. These 2 are comics but this seemed like the best place to put them, Transmetropolitan, Sandman
I'm really not sure, there are people that I admire and respect, look up to etc. but a "hero"? nothing springs to mind really...bit of an anticlimax after those little essays above this
