True happiness is found on the inside, not outside

About Me

I try to live a peaceful life. I enjoy good company and a good laugh; life is too short to not have healthy laughter in it. Meditation is a regular practice for me; it has become regular enough to be able to consider everything that I do a meditation (I try to remain mindful of everything that I do). I love being in the present moment, it is a precious and sacred place to be. I love people, nature and a good time. I am a spiritual person that loves great, open minded conversation. I believe that communication between people is vital to the happiness of all. I believe that the ego can be very disruptive in our lives, so I choose to live as egoless as possible. Happiness can be found anytime and anyplace; we just need to look inward.Inspiring Story! Free Hugs Campaign (Music by Sick Puppies)

My Interests

Meditation, reading, traveling, meeting new people, good times, nature walks, hiking, helping those in need, learning, exercising, being in good company, laughing till I cry.

I'd like to meet:

People that love to laugh; that can see that laughter is great medicine for the soul. Individuals that live life with appreciation. Those that perceive the glass as half full; that can see others differences with an appreciation for diversity; that can accept life's challenges as lessons that make us better human beings. Those that know the true value of human interaction; that know the importance of loving one's self; that feel the truth in the statement "treat others as you would want to be treated". Individuals who recognize that we are all inherently good, but that some have that goodness covered up with life's accumulated past difficulties. Overall, I'd like to meet people that are real and genuine.

Music:

Most any kind of music; just as long as it's not insulting. I really don't find the point of listening to music that degrades women, glorifies drugs or expresses angry messages.

Movies:

Funny stuff as well as some more serious flicks like Malcolm x, Ali, Ray, a beautiful mind, rain man, crash, gandhi, What the bleep do we know, x men 3, matrix (all of them).

Television:

Don't watch much at all

Books:

The Power of Now, Turning the mind into an ally, Hardcore zen, The path of emancipation, The Art of happiness, a new earth

Heroes:

Gandhi, dalai lama, thich nhat hanh, as well as every person that I have ever been in contact with that has made any kind of impact on my life (no matter how small).
