My musical tastes vary from the oldies,(50's and 60's),Motown,Elvis,Country,Classic Rock,Metal,New Wave and Anyting and Everything except Rap...I began playing drums at the age of 9 and as you can see I am a lifelong lover of the Progressive Rock Scene.I have seen EMERSON,LAKE AND PALMER 32 times and traveled from Connecticut to Canada to see them.Keith Emerson is a keyboard genius and Greg Lake's angelic voice overshadows his brilliant bass AND guitar playing.Carl Palmer is well...CARL PALMER!!! Palmer and Neil Peart are two of the Greatest Drummers I have ever heard or seen..Buddy Rich,Bill Bruford,Clive Bunker,Ginger Baker,Carmine Appice and John Bonham take a back seat to No One as well.In my eyes most of the music today lacks all the texture and heart that many of the classic artists possessed.Many of the newer Prog Rock Bands(THE REASONING,MAGENTA,GLASS HAMMER,IQ)(last 2 not so new)are awesome talents and I thank these bands from my heart for keeping the Classic Prog Rock sound alive and well...I only wish that these talented musicians frequented our stages here in the States a little more often.(MATTHEW COHEN OF THE REASONING,ARE YOU LISTENING????;)...I LOVE my music .It TRULY is my life and I'm glad my talented son has followed in my footsteps.My musical dreams never fully came through for me but you can ALWAYS live out your dreams through your children..."ROCK ON AND KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON"..........Mike Get my banner code or design your own banner
