PimpMyArea.com Hmmm...let's see...that's a hard question for me. There have been 2 different Tims in my life that you guys have met. The pre-marriage to Shannon (my beautiful, loving, strong, caring wife) Tim, and the post-marriage to Shannon Tim, I guess...lol. It's true. I don't know at this point who will be checking this profile out, but if you knew me in High School, you would not recognize me now!, and I don't mean physically. Shannon, my wonderful gift from God has come in and swooped me up and has helped mold me into the person, father, husband, that I am today. And to think I thought it was the opposite when we first met! When we first met I was a mess to say the least. I was definetely not popular by any means, I had very few friends, pretty quiet and reserved, and had little self-esteem or confidence. Then along came Shannon, and the rest is history as they say. We have been together for going on 8 years, and it has not been all peachy keen...ONE BIT...as most of you know. I am blessed by God to have a wife who IS so strong to withstand everything that I have put her through in our marriage! I always knew that we were supposed to be together, I just didn't know why. Now, I know...boy do I know. Throughout the 8 years, we, as a couple, have had to go through the fire with the issues that I have, which most of you know about. I have been dealt some pretty busted and broken cards from my teenage years on, and have had to play with them for a LONG time now, but I continue to play, and the more I play, the more I am beginning to win! You see, I have NEVER thrown my cards in and don't intend on ever doing so. This profile is the beginning of a new life. I have spent 10 years in the military and it has also helped mold me into the man I am today. My time in the military has taught me alot about life, and all its hard-knocks. I have always been a pretty trusting person, and it has burned me many times. I have developed pretty thick skin because of it. I have followed many good leaders in the Army and also many bad ones. In order to lead you must first be able to follow, so following some of these so-called leaders has developed me into the leader I am today. I am well-prepared for the civilian world, and look forward to a bright future thanks to the Army and my wife Shannon. Even with all the hardships I have had in my life, I have NO regrets. We shouldn't regret the decisions made in life, even if they turned out to be wrong, because learning from those decisions has made us into the person we are today. Sometimes I think I married too young, and we probably did....but God knew what he was doing when we said our vows. We saved each other, and by the grace of God, my family and I have been through the fire and back out again, and I do not intend on looking back! This is where life begins for me.

My Interests

I love being a mechanic. I have a thirst for new knowledge and like to figure out how things work. I am the one who volunteers to do a job that I have never done before. I like to just hang out with the guys and watch some sports...doesn't matter which one, ok...not NASCAR! I like to get in my Chiefs gear with my daughter and watch a nail-biting Chiefs game...they're always nail-biters. My wife will kill me if I don't say something about hanging out with the family...just kiddin babe...I love to go to the park with Shannon and Hannah and hog the ball on the basketball court! I love to play sports...Ill try any sport once..which also means I try to stay in pretty good shape. I will be one of those old guys in his 60s still jogging on the side of the road! I love to sing and love even more to sing for congregations at church. I like to put together IKEA furniture...lol...or anything crafty that Hannah comes up with. I like to put models together, but it takes me about 2 years to finish one..lol. I love to take a trip to Blockbuster with the family, go through the movies, and pick something out that we all can watch, doesn't matter what...ok..no Brats videos Hannah...come home, pop some popcorn and plop down in front of the TV and watch it. Call me crazy but I love to drive, I find it relaxing, except when Im stuck in traffic! I listen to music when Im stressed or arguing with my wife...I know, it drives her crazy...lol. The best days are when it ends with a cook out on the grill while Shannon works in the yard. , I love to be a leader in my professional life..I would say take care of my soldiers, but Im not in the Army anymore...so..subordinates. Most of all and above all things in my life, I love my family and love being a father...nothing can replace that.

Music:

Like I said before, I love to sing, so I listen to music that I can sing along to and can hear the lyrics! Putting 2&2 together eliminates Rap, Hip-Hop, and any other groups that grunt, growl, yell, or cuss every other word and then call it music. You can't beat the classics, now that was music!

Movies:

I love a good comedy, you know its good when your cheeks hurt from laughing so much! Im married so I get stuck watching chick-flicks with Shannon. I like a good educational movie or a movie based on a true story...Pursuit of Happyness was good! Love my action flicks...Independence Day, Minority Report, Bad Boys II, Enemy of the State...just to name a few...anything with Will Smith in it is a good action flick. But the best is going to the movies with my Hannah and watching a good animated movie with her.

Television:

I love my Seinfeld...you either love it or hate it...no in between. King of Queens cracks me up. American Idol when its on.

Books:

I don't read books like I used to, but the best book series I have read was the Left Behind series detailing the events of life after Christ comes back and the lives of the people who are left behind. That's the most reading Ive done in a long time...12 books!

Heroes:

My heroes are good and bad leaders that I have encountered in the Army that helped mold me into the leader I am today.
