Playing Bass and Guitar, out to gigs and clubs, listening to music, reading crime books, kicking back in front of a dvd.
I'd like to meet:
Anyone like minded, any bands that might appeal, people to go out clubbing with (especially in birmingham but i like seeing new places) and anyone who's up for chatting and making a new friend. If you're up for a laugh get the hell in touch!!
Music:
Pretty Eclectic but mainly into death/doom/black metal, ebm/industrial/cyber, rock. Bands i dig the mostest include Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Emperor, Gehenna, Dark Tranquillity, Mindrot, Daylight Dies, At the Gates, Covenant, VNV Nation, In Flames, Assemblage 23, Imindain, October Tide, Dimmu Borgir, Detonation, Anathema, Depeche Mode, Opeth, Samael, Arcturus, Porcupine Tree, Amorphis, Carcass, GGFH, Solefald, The Enchanted etc.
Movies:
Pretty much anything Tim Burton has done, Monty Python Films, Underworld, Blade Trilogy, Fight Club. Not tecnically movies but Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Alan Davies stand up dvd's.
Television:
Don't really watch a great deal but i love comedy stuff like Black Books, Father Ted, Spaced, Big Train and i must admit to getting sucked into 24 in spite of my better judgement!!
Books:
Orwell's 1984 is one of my faves along with Neil Gaiman's Stardust. All Gaimans's stuff is great. Anything by Ian Rankin, Kathy Reichs, Nicci French when i'm feeling mindless. Just read Star of the Sea which was pretty interesting.
