All STOKZ
(Pronounced - All Stocks)Hip Hop in America is at a crucial turning point. Rap music’s glitzy shiny suits and hyped up million dollar videos are all but gone. America’s perceived value of rap’s influence on American culture has been downgraded to violent, misogynistic and degrading, some have even proclaimed it dead? But, America has invested 20 years into Hip-Hop. How do you renew interest and value to a musical genre that was once so socially and economically viable…? All Stokz wants to help change this, by adding a much-needed injection of relevance to today’s Hip-Hop market.Born Turon during the 80’s, All Stokz was a devotee of all things hip-hop. From the lyrical element to break dancing, from the art of Deejaying to “hangin’ on the corner in a B-Boy stance; Hip Hop is who All Stokz is. From an early age, this tenacious and very outspoken hip-hop enthusiast knew his passion for performing would lead him directly to the forefront of the entertainment world. Social relationships with New York City hip hop icons such as Bronx legend, DJ Doo Wop, to members of the Roc-a-fella family including Jay-Z, gave Stokz the opportunity to witness first hand other artist’s dedication to hip-hop, encouraging All Stokz to step his game up from aspiring MC to businessman. In 2005, Stokz partnered with Sony Red/Paperchase Recordings and independently released his first album “A Bronx Tale†(Available on iTunes), a 17-track disc containing a very straightforward hip-hop sensibility, reminiscent of some of hip-hops favorite wordsmiths, Kool G Rap and Ghostface Killer. While out on the road touring and promoting “A Bronx Tale†All Stokz began appearing on a variety of hip hop radio shows and collaborating on projects with mixtape DJ’s, Producers and other MC’s out of the South, East and West Coasts. Recently, All Stokz appeared with rapper AZ on the track “It’s War†from DJ Techniques Combat Zone Volume 1. All Stokz also acquired a new management team in 2007, Da Truth Management, and is currently working on his next full length release – which will include tracks with Charisse Rose of 90’s R&B group Changing Faces and Trey Lorenz former backup Singer for Mariah Carey. As All Stokz strengthens his knowledge of the music business, he is also fully aware that artists must create hit records to remain relevant to fickle music-buying consumers. When questioned on how he intends on surviving hip hop’s current state of depression, All Stokz boldly states “I don’t fear poverty or death, music is my life and I believe 100% in my talent and my ability to have a huge impact on hip hopâ€. And based on his track record, All Stokz wants the hip hop masses to rest assured that he will only continue to rise.
Look for All Stokz on various mix tapes including Dj Dave-O Welcome to Harlem, G-Rod the movement (In Stores now), Life of a Hustler (In Stores Now) and several of Dj Technique Mixtapes. A Bronx Tale: The Album, which is in stores now will further solidify his position in the music industry.
