About Me

Since the tender age of 15 rolled round, I has played written a number of songs wrote and musical related stuff under my belt. In February 2004 I had entered the shockwaves get out the garage unsigned competition and got feedback on my demo performance. At first when this young person started to write lyrics and get into the right frame of mind, he has met some amazing contacts and met some really nice and amazing quality artists that I’ve befriended. Since the turn of 2006 I had played a lot of shows at various places in the town and have met some really good local artists that he's had the pleasure of playing with.In 2004 he had entered a competition in association with Shockwaves and had made quite an impression on the judges and here are some of their comments: Good demo performance, guitar playing was inventive but Declan needs to structure his song writing to make it more accessible and would like to see him back next year.Being in the North West institute at the time, Declan was surrounded with some really talented musicians and had been given an opportunity to jamming and getting some free lessons off a fellow pupil that was on the same course as me. In the section of the institute where he was talking classes, it was the creative part of the college and he thought this was great because he knew a very big list of people that were on the music courses, this had been a large influence on me at the time, he was being impressed by everyone that was met at this place.Throughout 2005 and 2006, he have had a substantial amount of shows. During the summer of 2006 this seen the recording of my debut album all for one which includes 10 alternative/acoustic/rock styled songs. This took over 2 months to write as it was about a number of tragic events that happened throughout the following year. The album was entitled all for one as this tragic event had hit me very hard and this was the way, he chose to get over it and the title itself was chosen because it was all for that one lost person in my life at the end of 2005He has recorded a brand new ep which is entitled Acoustic girl that has not yet been released but it has five never heard tracks that people will think are great "I’ve been told that I have the talent to take this career further and to succeed". The ep had been recorded and it was all possible to say that meeting a few nice people left me with all these ideas to write yet another really outstanding recording which meant a whole lot to me.BBC Radio Foyle DJ, Stephen McCauley has reviewed the album and he has said that the album stands out from anything he’s heard because it’s a very personal thing to me the musician. Reaching fan Status throughout the world including France, America, the United Kingdom and Sweden. Declan has been around for 4 years now and will continue on with further promoting himself through different musical directions with additional musicians being added into different songs to give them more effect and access a little more life into them. There's been a new ep entitled Acoustic girl recorded and has been said that this recording is far different compared to any of my other eps or the album because I'm playing piano in one of the tracks but however it was only as rough key pattern thrown together.
