berlin grown, NavyRed recorded her first demo in 2002, after working as a freelanced portrait and fashion-photographer(vogue,style magazine) and as a casting director (mexx,pixelpark,premiere sky,merril lynch,detlef buck,vega film lounge,shell...)the european up bringing strongly influenced her perception of art and music.
influences from various cultural backgrounds and eras, mixed with an uk urban feel, helped Navy create her own style.having attented several tv-shows, ads and movies(milan,berlin,london), she successfully completed her post. grad. in photography at central st. martins college of art and design, she continued her studies in sound-engineering before passing her a diploma in music-technology (double distinction).
this multi talented bullet is defining her knowledge on overall production. however, this is not to cloud her vision as a producing songwriter, which definitely reflects one of her many creative abilities...this individuum professionally continues her mission of becoming an internationally recognised female singing and songwriting producer.with a husky yet soulful voice, NavyRed has recorded a number of her own compositions and has been compared with artists like miss dynamite, macy g, sade, gab(riele), kelis, lauren hill, morcheeba.."ChemicalDrugs" was used as background music for the video of justine charrière (2005 european wake-boarding championship winner), which can be viewed at
