Cool Rock

About Me

I'm a non-professionnal musician started to play guitar in 1961..
My first favourites were Hank Marvin, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran and I enjoyed playin' rock'n'roll !
From 1964 to 1975 I played as lead-guitarist & singer in several french classical rock bands covering British Pop and British blues..
My guitar references during this period were Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Martin Barre..
But as every guitarist in the world, my style has really changed with the too short apparition of Jimi on the Earth !
Then I left the band activity for about 15 years but all along this period I listened to many styles which made me love music more and more..
By the end of Eighties I discover fusion music and the strength of this musical style.
All the bands and instrumentists of this period were a second wave of influences over my own way of approaching music. From this 90's start I put myself in research, composition and guitar playing again..
Since ten years I've written almost thirty songs and I recorded some of them on two albums with an old friend in the band "JaW"..
Check out our page Ja&W , for buying songs and albums.
I currently work on new songs (and remixing olders !) looking for good sounds from pop, rock or blues roots.
And for those who like guitar stuffs, take a look at my special page W.G.Schopp .
