About Me

Well I'm 27 from Astoria Queens. I'm on here mainly to connect with old friends and have a little fun with current friends. Still reading? Well ok a little more about me. I'm a jack of all trades working in three different fields that all strangely have noting to do with each other. My main job, (and how I define my life), is teaching. Up to this past June I worked in an excellent school teaching an awesome group of junior high kids (Much love to the Resurrection class of 05 and the St. Kevin's classes of 06 and 07 Make me proud.)I now made the jump to an all boys high school. I teach English. Run the paintball and medical club and am an assistant Track and Feild Coach. I don't think I can truly be happy in life if I was not teaching. My work as a volunteer emergency medical technician is completely different but it follows the theme that I try to live my life by; give help where help is needed. Be it as an dispatcher, working as an EMT or doing the administrative stuff, EMS is a part of me. As far as the EMS there are times I just need to walk away, (I am going through a time like this now) but I eventualy come back ready to save lives. The other job in hotel guest services is just a means of having a little fun after the bills are paid and the savings have been deposited. (I can't believe I've had this job for 9 years now, but hey; it pays good. I won't exactly get rich as a teacher.) I got to pay for my summer trips and my yearly mid winter Vegas odyssey some way. So enough about my work life. When I'm not working (and that is rare), I like to work out, bike around the city, watch movies, read, play board games, and spend time with my friends. As far as friends go, I got some great ones. At one point of my life I felt like I had none. I'm thankful for that time because it helps me appreciate what I got now. I have a great life, good friends and a loving family. As far a girlfriend goes that's the one thing I'm lacking at this point. I just haven't found the right one for me yet, so I figure I'll do the next best thing, look for the right one and have fun, and lots of it ;) with the wrong ones for the time being. Well, that's basically it. If I went to school with you or volunteered with you and you want to say hi just message and friend me.
I am who I am because to the wonderful people in my life. This slide show highlighs those who I care about and many memories that always bring a smile to my face. Times have changed, my weight went down, and my out look on life changed with the wind; but in the end it was these people who made me see just how awesome it is to be me. Enjoy.

My Interests

I am one of those people who will try anything at least once. I am very open minded.

Music:

Rock, alternative, and classic rock are my favorites ,but I will listen to anything; I consider myself eclectic. As a teacher I try to keep current with music. You will find all types of music in my collection. I try every day to listen to a differnt song of a different genre and I listen to a different raidio station for at least 5 minuets each day to remind myself to always be open minded. Not all the stuff I listen to is my thing per say but hey I'm a firm believer in different strokes for different folks and I believe it is important to appreciate music that other people listen too; It makes for a great conversation piece.

Movies:

The list goes on and on...

Television:

As of now the shows I watch are Lost, The Glen Beck Show, Anderson Cooper 360,The Simpsons, Def Poetry Jam, Big Love, Jimmy Kimmel Live, American Idol,Nightline, Ghost Whisperer, and most HBO specials. And last but not least, Big Brother. I am partial to reality TV. If I were not a teacher I would have sent an auditiont tape for the 8th season. (I have in the past.)

Books:

Well as an English teacher I guess I should read. I have enjoyed the following: Tuesdays With Moire, The Harry Potter Series, Hamlet, The Gospel According To Mark, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, James and the Giant Peach (my childhood favorite), The Chronicles of Narnia 1-7, The Scarlet Letter, The Da Vinci Code, The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings, The Gospel according to Matthew, Who's Afraid of Virgina Wolf, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Greek Myhhology, No Exit, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, The Gospel According to Luke, Acts of the Aposoles, Anne Rice's Maifair Wich Series, The Gospel According to John, The Picture of Dorian Gray, A Wrinkle In Time, The Outsiders, Of Mice and Men, select works of Robert Frost and Edgar Allen Poe, and No One Here Gets Out Alive (the Jim Morrison Story).

Heroes:

My heroes are Jesus Christ, my parents, and although not true hero's, there will always be a place in my heart for the following:

I am in no way shape or form a conservative. If you know me then you know this to be true. Even thought I disagree with Glen, I find the man to be a comic genius.
