Over the past four years, Rashan Ali has established herself as a formidable and revered talent within the entertainment industry. She is now the host of the €œA-Team€? Morning Show, one of only three women in the country leading a Hip Hop and R&B morning show.With engaging interview skills, Ali has also co-hosted numerous sports and entertainment shows, which includes UPN€™s Atlanta Tonight, Comcast Southeast Sports (CSS) Sportsnite, and WXIA€™s Sports Extra. She recently co-hosted TV One€™s, €œBid Whist Party Throwdown.€? The budding actress has appeared in a handful of impressive films that date back to 1994. Ali accepted her first part in the independent movie Chocolate City (Rainforest Films), secured a lead role in Nulantis Films 2002€™s Exposure and landed in Big Ain€™t Bad (2003), as well as the 2005 release of the Columbia Tri Star motion picture Trois 3: The Escort, where she stared alongside veteran actors Isaiah Washington and Reagan Gomez-Preston. Ali also had a cameo in Columbia Tri Star€™s The Gospel. Her acting skills have not stopped there. She was featured in the play, €œSecrets Men Keep,€? that ran at the Atlanta Civic Center.Ali attended Florida A&M University on swimming and academic scholarships. After receiving her degree in Broadcast Journalism (magna cum laude) in 1997, Ali was a Production Assistant for the Emmy Award Winning show on Fox Sports Net called Countdown to Signing Day. When the show ended she was recruited to be the assistant to the late Lisa €œLeft Eye€? Lopez of TLC. After a two year stint with Lisa, Ali landed a postion as a Video Production Assistant at the legendary LaFace Records. Ali displayed such skill that within a year€™s time, she spearheaded the entire video department.Rashan Ali is all about the community. As a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, she is also involved in countless charities and organizations, which include: A Book and A Biscuit Club (which she founded), Cool Girls, Girls Inc., HOT Girls and The Woman€™s Sports Foundation, The National Council of Negro Woman, Woman After God€™s Own Heart, The Gamma Epsilon Society, just to name a few. Ali also organized Female Fumbles, a wildly popular football camp where 50 female radio listeners learn about the game and so much more. In 2003, the Coalition of 100 Black Woman honored Ali with the Unsung Heroine Award and during that same year, Ali became one of Jet€™s legendary weekly beauties. In 2005, she was the recipient of the YMCA€™s women of achievement honor and YOUTH Vibe€™s €œLeading Lady€? award. Rashan Ali is the epitome of brains and beauty. What a lethal combination! Music:

I love all kinds of music from Mechell N'Degeocello to Outkast. I am a huge fan of Cree Summer, who only came out with one album. Nelly Furtado's first album is definitely a collectible item. Billy Holiday's voice was certainly precious.I love my rap, don't get me wrong! I'm a huge fan of Outkast, T.I. and Young Jeezy.

Movies:

Believe it or not, "Love Jones" is one of my favorite movies. It's such a testament of true love. I've been a few flicks myself. Most recently I was featured in "The Gospel." I was also featured in "Trois 3: The Escort" and "Motives." I starred in an independent film called "Exsposure." Hopefully, there will be many more movies to come!

Television:

I'm a huge "Young and the Restless" fan!!! My husband is even worse than me!

Books:
