About Me

I am guaranteed. I also tend to put painfully unfunny things in my headline. But then I'm not here to entertain you, you miserable, profile-judging mofo.

My Interests

Sometimes I look at the moon and sigh.

Music:

Currently listening to a heady mix of Lamb, Fujiya & Miyagi, Migala, Dabrye, Can, Dr. John, Robert Johnson, AUX 88, Farben, Rory Gallagher, The Faces, The Bees, Autechre, Monkey Mafia, Nick Drake and other assorted random bobbins. How d'you like them apples?

Movies:

I like films. Most films. If I start watching a film, I have to finish, regardless how bad. I have recently enjoyed The Apartment, Southern Comfort, Apocalypse Now, Killer X, Stuck On You, Tightrope, Battle Royale and Ruthless People. My all-time least favourite film is American Psycho 2. Everything about it is sickeningly pathetic, and is an insult to film-makers everywhere.

Television:

TV still seems to be unadulterated kak. I'm watching the second series of Life On Mars, and I'm finally managing to watch Threshold having started watching it over a year ago on Sky One, and then losing Sky. I mainly watch comedy, films and the odd smattering of random documentaries. I dislike soaps, although I must admit they are horribly watchable. A bit like a car crash.

Books:

Just about finished the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, which is remarkable. Also been reading some Robert Rankin, possibly one of the funniest, and strangest, authors ever. Funnier than the funniest thing you've seen in the last five minutes certainly

Heroes:

Hugo Steele, Mr T, Popeye, Bruce Campbell, Morph

Intriguing album review

Check this out, found it on my computer.  It's the review for some album or other, though which I've long since forgotten.  That aside its one of the most remarkable reviews I've ever read.I...

Somebody help, for the love of all that's good

I've been racking my brain, and scouring the internet for a while now, trying to remember the name of a film I saw.  Not a very good film probably, and ultimately this is not life-threatening, bu...

A question of cheese

Just noticed that cottage cheese doesn't seem to melt, even though it's softer than normal cheese.  Craaaazy!  Speaking of crazy, cottage cheese is a popular dessert in Hungary, though I can...
