I was born in Prineville, Oregon, raised in Portland, Oregon, I went to Sunnyside and Buckman grade schools, graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School majoring in Radio Communications of course; I also attended Portland State University and Clackamas Community College. It's hard to believe that I've actually grown up on the air in Portland; my first on air radio gig was at 62 KGW at age of 14, yes 14! good thing I owned a schwin stingray bike with a lime green banana seat and sissy bar back then or I would have never made it to work......I'm a spiritual person who has been filled with the spirit of Aloha and has a love for God, I'm not a preachy person, but would only hope that one would take the time to see what's in my heart. Van Zant recently told me "Some people wear a cross around their neck because it's cool and a fashion statement, we wear it because Jesus died for us," nuff said...... The radio business can sometimes take you from state to state, the old joke is that "DJ's don't own homes, just trailers!†but I've worked hard to stay in Portland close to my family and friends.(Find out more on kupl.com)
