JOHNNY ECK- AMAZING 1/2 MAN

Johnny Eck was born in Baltimore, Md in 1911. One of two twins. His brother Bob was born a normal healthy boy. Johnny, though healthy, was born with no lower half of his body. In his lifetime he lived a happy, healthy life. Having accomplished more than most. At a very young age he became an expert typist, painter, swimmer, acrobat, tight rope walker, trapeze artist and Punch and Judy operator. As he grew into his teenage years he found himself in Hollywood on the set of Tod Brownings classic film FREAKS. Shortly after that he got a part in the first ever TARZAN movie with Jerry Weismueller. By the time he was a young adult he had worked with Robert Ripley. Traveled the country and Canada by train.Become a magician/ illusionist and worked with some of magics greats. Including-Rajah Raboid, Harry Blackstone and even got to know Howard Thurston. He also had his own miniature race car and train. He has led an amazing life filled with adventures and great friendships.
