Movies:

Just saw.... Halloween 2007. It wasn't the original but it was really fucking good for what it was. The squeamish beware! It's a slasher.
Awaiting....
Elizabeth
Mad, Mad Monster Party, Halloween, Evil Dead 2, The Hunger, Queen of the damned (just to stare at Stuart), Faust (1926), Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919), The Phantom of the Opera (1925)---at this point should I just say classic horror?? OK...so apart from my fascination with horror, there is also- Serenity, Heights, The Secretary, What Dreams May Come, Cherry, Home For the Holidays, Pieces of April, Eternal Sunshine, The Usual Suspects, Evil Under The Sun, Death on The Nile....everything Tim Burton did (but I wasn't impressed with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), most of what Kevin Smith does, Suicide Kings is brilliant and let me just note here that Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman and David Thewlis are geniuses in just about anything they choose...oh yah....definately add Johnny Depp and all of his movies. Enough testosterone...Breakfast at Tiffanys is why I adore Audrey Hepburn and speaking of Audreys'...Audrey Tautou is great in He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, Amelie and Dirty Pretty Things.... Hideous Kinky put Kate Winslet on the map for me and I'm not a huge fan of Nicole Kidman but she kicks ass in To Die For. I really can't focus on directors... or writers for that matter because they often disappoint with one or two bombs and totally ruin their appeal for me.

Television:

The Groovie Goolies.....every Saturday morning with orange juice and cinnamon sugar toast

My guilty pleasure is Top Chef. It's a culinary trainwreck that strangely makes me hungry.

"I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke." brilliant quote from Meredith, Grey's Anatomy.

"Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots." Mal from Firefly.

“I think (Travel Channel) knows it's not getting Jamie Oliver or Rachel Ray when they throw their lot in with me.” Anthony Bourdain~No Reservations

Books:

Just finished: The Looking Glass Wars.
Dark twist on the original. It even paints Lewis Carroll as a careless writer. Alyss is heartbroken when his book is published and portrays her life and adventures as frivolous and fantastical. Alyss is the heir to the Wonderland queendom but is thwarted by her aunt, Redd. She is forced to seek refuge in the very real world of London. She meets many characters and makes London her home until Hatter Madigan finally discovers her location and he and her childhood friend, Dodge grab her up and takes her back to Wonderland to fight for her queendom. I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to get the second book.

Just discovered this...thx Megan! Bitch
