About Me

Name's Skillioso aka Silvaslimz aka Skilz aka Mr. Loops. I am a producer/composer/songwriter from London England and have produced tracks for S.A.S, Sway, Ghetto, Akala, Vapour, Skinny Man, Lethal B, 3Face and like da infomercial says, many more. i started makin beats in first year secondary school, but i been into music from day dot. i started playin piano at my nans yard and taught myself to play by ear. my production tends to be very melody orientated because my first interaction with music was creative at a piano, so that tends to reflect in my music quite strongly. I got my first copy of fruityloops from Natty after he showed me couple tings. i hooked up wid couple bredrins from school and we been makin music together ever since. The original BDM/Beat Camp soldiers still ridin strong, always around in form or another... i was introduced to Robert at paperchase recordings and gotta give a big BLESS to Robert and Davynche for hookin a brudda up wid some samples and pointers. i also hooked up wid one of the most bless and hard workin independent labels ive come across called Goldseal and started workin with their talented in house artist 3Face.ive started composing classical scores after workin with a 8 piece orchestra on my music course and am currently workin on incorporating all my styles of production, garage, classical, hiphop, DnB into my own uniquesound. i would like to get into composing for film so if anyone out there is looking for scores....Wassup!

Influences: alot of my influences production wise come from alot of the old skool production of motown, such as isley brothers and the production on alot of teddy pendegrass and marvin gaye. i would say modern influences include dre, timbaland, and most definately Swiss Beatz, mostly for his production with busta. ive started composin classical symphonies, and then using them, in hiphop or garage, effectively sampling myself. listen out for skillys symphonies: Perilous Quest, Fallen Comrade, Dance of the Stallions, March of the Titans and Endurance. anyone interesedin hearin the, let me know and load them up or send you an mp3. their is also alot of internal influence withihn the camp, genarules (Black Prince) use of toms and big percussion has definatetely inspired me to draw for the percussion kit folder and Dexplicits energitic drum patterns literally forced me to put more oomph in some of my beats. Datt Natt was da guy to give me my first copy of fruity and i made my first beat at his yard (u got me chuuung out cuzzy) his skippy hihats and intricate drum patterns have definately influenced the way i try and build my house/garage and bouncy drum patterns. Hectics Grime ryddims showed man u need to let go of the melody sometimes and just showerface it off, Dutty stinker of producer right thur.

Sounds Like: Everyone says my tracks are epic and sound like film scores, my tracks tend to be very melody orientated, with alot of orchestral sounds. i also make tracks that cross between different genres such as hip hop and garage, classical and RnB. i try to create tracks that are emotive and have feeling and concepts rather than just 'beats' for mcs or rappers to ride on. always interested in experimenting with new sounds and concepts so dont hesitate to message me
