About Me

I am charmed...
I grew up in a white pine/spruce forest in Western Maine with the white peaks of Mount Washington* showing through my bedroom window.
I have lived in the heart of San Francisco** for 9 years.
Wood paneled bars and drive through trees*** Rule I am mediocre in almost all sport activities, not terrible mind you, but never great.
Oh and I'm the "Slacker" on the cover of the SF Weekly 14 Nov 2007* North East's highest point at 6288', part of the White Mountain's National Forest which straddles the ME/NH border.
** Haight/Divisidero is the geographic center of SF.
*** 315' tall located in Leggett CA also home to the "Worlds Largest" Abalone Shell.

My Interests

Talking Big Game. Flirting. Playing Ice Hockey, Snowboarding, Surfing Northern California, theatre/arts, NYTimes Crossword, DIY.

I'd like to meet:

Active people.
People who still plan on being GREAT.
Straight people, nice people, non demanding people,
people who like holding hands and making out most important though is... Groovy down home people.

Music:

The smallish indie rock shows, Octavia Lounge on a saturday night, Annie's or the Mint with enough liquor in me. Pretty much anything, well I can't deal with a a John Zorn and Mike Patten Combo.

Movies:

Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Spinal Tap and Guffman, for yuks, Before Sun(rise/set) for romance, Bullitt for smoldering action, Lynch for shear beauty, and almost any cheesy slasher flick for troubled nights.

Television:

Really low budget local ads, usually late at night on the WB. In Rochester a decade ago we had "All Day Sunday", which was really a rap, and I can still do it, fucking effective as all hell, I know where to go if I want a Ring, Ear Ring, Nameplate, or Chains!. In SF now they are running one at least 5 times a night for a dentist, Chaing's, makes kids feel good about going to the dentist, and they speak spanish.

Books:

Catch 22, PKD

My Blog

The trees will do fine.

While it can be looked as the selfishness gene. I think of it more as the laws of nature. The truth of the matter is that environmentalism isn't so much as thinking a tree is more important than a l...

Do the Right Thing

I made the fatal error in my social life with consolidating my electronic life, and actually paying for expensive TV. One of the pluses though is that I now have a DVR filled with films I should have...
