What will you do today to make a difference in Indian Country?

About Me

O'siyo my relations! My name is Tamra, I am mixed blood Cherokee/German/Irish.I am very active in helping to educate people about the ongoing issues and battles in Indian Country that we face every day, activism, fighting for native rights, protecting sacred sites against the continual desacration and the freedom of Leonard Peltier! I am not a journalist or a reporter......I am simply a activist that is very involved in helping spread the word about ndn issues. I do write every know and again, but I am definetly not a pro. If ya want to read one of my writings, see my blog entitled....One Land, One People, One Nation.I do what I can to help our people every day. I can't deal with new-agers, wicca, or people who claim to be traditional but brag about being a "medicine man, pipe carrier or sundancer" becuase your full of crap and dis-respecting the culture when you do, for the thousands of people who are out there that exploit and sell ceremonies and our spirituality, I hope your caught and shut down right in front of your groupies. Spirituality IS NOT FOR SALE!My website www.NDNnews.com ~ Native American Issues & Causes website provides daily headlines in NDN country in addition to topics regarding ongoing issues and battles that we face on turtle island. I am also very active in the protection of sacred sites, please visit my other website at www.ProtectSacredSites.orgI walk as traditional of a path as possible for living in the modern days....sigh....I was definitely born a couple hundred years to late. I honor mother earth and everything on her. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. I live a fairly simple and humble life and am very happy living in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Some values that I wish all people still had as a Indigenous nations and people.....honor, respect, dignity, pride, tradition, spirituality....they all equal Native Pride! Unfortunately, people have absorbed themselves into this messed up society today and are now into drugs, alcohol, abuse and domestic violence. Just a heads up folks....this is not tradtional or the NDN way! Dont be claiming your traditional if you go to ceremony, then get drunk afterwards or go home and beat the crap outta your wife and kids. One of my quotes....... "Our sacred lands are all that remain keeping us connected to our place on Mother Earth, to our spirituality, our heritage and our lands; what’s left of them. If they take it all away, what will remain except a vague memory of a past so forgotten?"In Peace & Solidarity.....
