There are way too many to name. I would have liked to have met Katherine Hepburn. I think the way she single-handedly saved her career with The Philadelphia Story is inspiring.
Classic rock is my favorite genre, but so many of my favorite bands don't fall into that category! I'm a huge fan of Live, Alice in Chains, Elton John, and this really cool band called The Constant (I love you, Louis!). Check out my friend "Trent" for more about The Constant and some samples. They rock!
Wow... where to start? I've got over 300 DVDs in my collections, but my all-time favorites include: Disney's The Little Mermaid, Cyrano deBergerac (with Gerard Depardieu), Labyrinth, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Emma, Pride and Prejudice (BBC with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle), Tombstone, Terminator 2, and Office Space.
My guilty pleasures include: 10 Things I Hate About You, Dirty Dancing, Clueless, Ever After, The Princess Bride, Never Been Kissed, The Saint, and Legally Blonde.
Of course, we can't forget the original, un-fucked-with Star Wars trilogy, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Harry Potter movies.
NYPD Blue, NYPD Blue, NYPD Blue! My favorite television show of all time. I'll admit they had a few rough seasons near the end, but I still scheduled myself "unavailable" for work on Tuesday nights so that I could watch it!
Who could forget Friends, of course. Yes, I have all ten seasons on DVD and yes, I sent away for the wooden display box to put them all in.
I was a huge fan of American Idol the first few seasons, but missed the last two.
My guilty pleasures were definitely Trading Spaces and While You Were Out. Brian won't even sit in the room with me when they're on.
I don't really watch TV when the shows are on. I watch them on DVD. Chappelle's Show, Mind of Mencia, Family Guy, the original He-Man series (She-Ra comes out on DVD this Christmas!), and the Honeymooners are big hitters. I've also got all six seasons of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman on DVD (I didn't have much of a social life on Saturday nights in high school!). And, of course, The Muppet Show. I know so many more performers from my early childhood than I ever would have without the Muppet Show and Jim Henson was a genius.
Again, so many to choose from... I loved Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, Gone With the Wind, Little Women, The Little Stuff Matters Most by Bernie Brillstein (I got this one for Christmas and I highly recommend it), The Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce, The Harry Potter series, anything by Victoria Holt (historical fiction, usually involving a muder), The Stand (Brian's favorite book and one of the most exciting, complex stories I've ever read). I've read all of these several times and I keep going back to them for more.
