About Me

Marc Kaufman: Experts say that we can address the issue on both individual and societal levels. Individually we can try to reduce our use of gasoline, home heating oil and electricity, and try to learn more about how much energy goes into producing the products (including food) that we purchase. Based on that information, we can make more or less energy-efficient choices. On a larger societal level, it is clear that many states and quite a few businesses have embraced reducing greenhouse gas emissions as a priority. Others have not, and perhaps they could be convinced over time. The big issue, of course, is the role of the federal government, with many saying the Bush administration has been missing in action. Bush officials say that is unfair, but whatever is the case, I think it's clear that his successor will have to do more. On this issue, I think that public pressure has shown itself to make a difference. The next step will be how to translate a desire to reduce global warming to an actual plan. For now, it certainly wouldn't hurt to plant some trees (which take up CO2.)
Feeling Déjà vu
I wish I knew now
What not to do
You had me over
Sat me on your couch
And when you looked away
I felt déjà vu
I just had to say to say to you
I always knew I’d feel this way
Always thought it would be special
To be with a girl and feel déjà vu.
I look in your eyes. You are so beautiful.
I love your smile – the way you use half your face.
Always thought it would be special
To be with a girl and feel déjà vu.
Flo
You’ve got to let go
Of the meaning somehow
Like tears in the rain
You’ve got to know the pain
To feel the beauty that
Flows right through me
Somewhere between existence and a dream
Rain drops trickle and flow
Into clear running streams
Go on and sing your song
Like a river flowing on
Come on and dance with me
Just let it all go
Go with the flow, and flow like the rain
Go with the flow, and flow like the rain
Ritual Cloth
Let the water hold me down
I won’t let you drown
Truly a better man
Talks to the morning star
Wingless fame
You found a lost cause
Behind water and wine, deep in movement
I can prove it
I found a fountain of tears
Bathing me, all through the years
Bring me home tonight
Look at her shine.
Feel her healing hand
Take me away
Let the children come around
I am coming down
Only a
So Simple
It used to be oh so simple
Everybody had lots of time
But now we’re falling down
Together
Some like their loving
Some their freedom
People moving in and people moving on
And the sun, shining on
Forever
You’ve got to let her back into your life
You’ve got to let her back into your life
You’ve got to let her back into your life
You’ve got to let her back into your life
Everybody’s in a golden temple
Standing up inside an open mind
That’s how we hear the song
For better
You’re still the child
Red Light

A dark star crashes
Pouring its light into ashes
I dropped my matches
Having one of those flashes
You see my red light on
You know I’m up all night
I’ll make you feel alright
We can do it all night
I’m leaving the hills tonight
Won’t even kill my mind
I want to see the sun again
All I really want is to save
You and me, you and me.
