Half Man, half Jackal, half Manatee, and a whole lotta Soul, Manatee Boy is an artist who has won the hearts of fans throughout the globe. The famed singer/songwriter was born of a jackal, but he was switched at the hospital shortly after his birth with the baby of a U.S. Ambassador to the Middle Antilles. His adopted mother was actually a manatee--thus the name. It was from his mother that he learned essential survival skills like fending off sharks, dispersing the pain of a boat-hit, and making a compass out of a piece of gum and a paper clip (which was also seen on an episode of MacGyver...).Manatee Boy was tragically hit by a boat off the Florida coast when he was 14 years old (even his mother's pain-dispersement technique would not help on this occasion), and he was taken immediately to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota--where he lived for the next 8 months. It was here that he developed a love for sudoku, orange gelatin, and music. He happened to spend three months in the same room with Jack Forrester, Jr.--a man who once toured the Bible Belt with only his dog and his fiddle. As Manatee Boy listened to the sweet sound of Forrester's fiddle, he would sing along. It was here that he developed his award-winning craft as an acapella vocalist. When Manatee Boy was finally allowed to leave the Mayo Clinic, he refused to set foot in Florida--instead, he went to the island of Maui in the Hawaiian islands. Here, he developed a love of sweets--especially cookies. It was also here that he met his would-be agent, Bryn Steinmetz...the same Bryn Steinmetz who would later totally screw him over by attempting to feed him a poisoned-cookie while taking a helicopter tour of the island of Fiji in the Pacific Ocean in January 2006.Manatee Boy returned to "existence" one month later, having survived a poisoning attempt, a helicopter crash, and a feeding frenzy of sharks. He was discovered by a Chilean turtle-fisher on a deserted island. He is now pumping out tunes even faster than before and desires to one day sing at the White House. If he can't actually achieve this goal, he would like simply to sing at either a regular house that is white or a house owned by a white guy. Either way, he will be happy--that's just the way he is.Whatever the future holds, Manatee Boy's fans know that his work is something special, something amazing, and something sweet.Good cookies to all!Watch the following video if you'd like to gain a deeper understanding of MBOY's life:The Blue Ballad of the Manatee
