I grew up in in the San Francisco Bay Area and although I live elsewhere now (Gridley CA) I consider Marin County to be home. I have also lived in Oakland, Hawaii, Florida, San Diego, Santa Monica, Colorado, and the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina
I do lots of live music and keep up on the club scene. Live music......will travel.....I'll go a hundred miles or more for a good show. I can change my mind very quickly so you never know where to find me!
My latest adventure is the rehab and reopening of a small neighborhood bar in Gridley CA. I hope to make it into a cozy live music venue. It only holds about 100 people though and Gridley is a small (pop.6000) conservative community. We'll see what happens. It has proven to be a lot of work but I am having fun with it!
I am now searching for artists or small bands based in the Sacramento / Chico area that might be suitable to play at my bar. For now I'll be bringing in "roots" and Americana type sounds......folk, blues, bluegrass, etc. Later on I'll try country and rock. The punk / goth / techno scene can stay in the college bars up in Chico.
