Producer/Musician Patrick van Herrikhuyzen grew up in Amsterdam. Inspired by his fathers piano playing and strongly influenced by the dance music of the 70's and 80's, he then became addicted to the Casio Velotone keyboard (1979). At young age he played keyboards with bands at high school, at home always recording in his studio.
He graduated at the Amsterdam Conservatorium as a Improvist Pianist. He also studied Science of Music at the University of Amsterdam, and took part in a Contemporary Music course based on non-western techniques (Indian, Arabic and African styles).
In his early years, Patrick released his first single Jazzhouse (1994) and album Thats our cue (1996) with 2 Bass Hit. He also collaborated on several CD releases like Electro Coco (Dutch Edison Award), Jazz Juice (UK), Marcello Godoy (released in Brazil) Van Dik Hout, de Poema's and on the DVD NoTV Visual Music, together with VJ R.E.L.
His live-keys experience throughout these years took him through a wide range of styles. He has collaborated with various artists like Kenny Dope, Kaoma (Lambada), Gruppo Sportivo, the Bombitas (Herman Brood), Loïs Lane, Acda en de Munnik, Thijs van Leer, and many more. Projects with Baby Kain (Last Poets, US) and with the Brazilian singers Lilian Vieira (Zuco 103), Flavia Virginia and Viviani Godoy inspiring travel from Harlem to Rio de Janeiro. He played a tour with The Dollybirds (2002) and as a solist in quartet Sarao Brasil on Fender Rhodes. He also had television appearances through with the late Theo van Gogh and Friends for Warchild.
Nowadays Patrick plays the Hammond Organ on tour with Dutch rockband Van Dik Hout. With his Brazilian Trio 'Banho de Sol' he appears in and around Amsterdam. In the clubs he shows up with DJs Bruno Banner (Trouble Men), Chew Fu Phat, D Rashid (Salsa Lounge) or Jonathan Badichi (Madrid).
As a composer, songwriter and producer he works solo or with creative partners on innovative productions, all dedicated to the music.
