We come to Inhabit

About Me

INHABITANTS are Rob Pearson & Kate Smith, a writing and production duo from London who have been making music together for over 3 years. Rob and Kates musical background however stretches back much further.

Rob is a DJ, producer and sound engineer who has been producing and releasing many forms of music under different aliases for more than a decade. Kate comes from a more performance background as a pianist who has developed and honed her skills featuring on many tracks as well as composing her own pieces.

Now coming together as the Inhabitants, Rob and Kate fuse their musical, production and song writing skills to produce a debut (yet to be named) album project. Their sound has many influences but their sound may best be described as song based down tempo beats with a moody dub influence, and tinges of trip hop trickery. The pair has enlisted some of their favourite vocalists both old and new to collaborate with them on the project with these songs appearing alongside the duos instrumental tracks.

The Inhabitants will be in Miami for the Winter Music Conference 2007
