My name is Gangsta Wiz aka “Tha Cleanaâ€. I was born in Tallahassee, Florida. Even as a young kid I’ve always had an ear for music. Growing up in the 70’s with Motown and the birth of Hip Hop life couldn’t have been better. In 1980 I moved to Flint, Michigan just as the B-Boy scene was arriving. Quickly, I studied all the moves and began practicing all the time. Dancing was my gateway to Hip Hop; I was hooked. Shortly afterwards I formed a group named “Flint City Breakers†,we won many talent shows and dance contest. By 1983 Crack had infested our Flint communities, like blood stained streets. So, I began freestyling about Gang life, Poverty, Pimping, and Drugs. I’d spit over anything I could get my hands on. Music became my only escape from the realities of being Poor, Locked Up, and always Hungry. Coming up was rough where I lived! East Coast and Dirty South music were my early influences in Hip Hop. After years of honing my craft " I Gotta get It"! In February 2006 I met an upcoming MC/Producer Main Event. I started writing Creative & Progressive music and signed with his Label ROSTA RECORDS. We then started my Debut Album entitled “Gone But Not Forgottenâ€. When Main Event offered me a partnership I became half owner of Rosta Records. ROSTA, We make music just the way you like it!!!Peace
