We could come back long in the time to search the origins of Toxic Womb, because the guys of this band have been shakin' around for a long time. 1993 was a good year for the rockin' scene in Málaga; parties were done around, there was a lot of people rockin'-related and all of that was decisive in the appearence of bands as La Familia Manson (where Javi played drums) or MA-50's (where Danny was).
Jose and Javi met for the first time in Winkle Pickers, a trio completed with Arlandi and become in quartet later, with the arrival of Danny at the guitar in 1997, in Rick Arlandi & The Madmen Trio, band that recorded a demo tape which was played in several radio stations. After a blank period, the four guys met again under the name of Rockin' Senator & Desperate; new stage, new style and new energies which lasted until 1998, when they played with the british Jets in the 3rd Rockin' Race Jamboree.
After that show the band get disolved, and none of them played in other band for a while. In April 2002, Danny and Javi talked about the possibility of making a new band, and they go for it when Jose say yes too, but it's not possible to count on the old singer, Arlandi.
So, Toxic Womb will be a trio (Danny singing and playing guitar, Jose at bass and Javi at drums), they find a place to practise and start with it. The first question they want to define is the style to play, years have passed and the guys got differents likes: Danny wants to play an electric and dynamic rockabilly, Jose wants to play sounds near to punk and rock, and Javi wants something between them with sounds like blues. The results are all of that and none of that at the same time..
In June 2002 they started their new stage making covers of bands with so different sounds like Link Wray, Reverend Horton Heat, Ramones, Elvis... all is all right if the people shakes and they enjoy on stage. There's a lot of different styles in the Toxic Womb music, they jump from surf to punk-rock as easily as playing rock'n'roll. They debut as Toxic Womb the October 12th of 2002, in tribute party to Gene Vincent made by the Rockin' Race club, with other two bands. Since then, the machine started to work: first demo CD recording, pics session, website, live shows... they're Toxic Womb, babe, the most noxious side of rock'n'roll.
