We currently have distribution through Universal Music Group and focus on all areas of Pop, Rock, Urban, Hip-Hop, R&B, Christian, Rhythm & Praise and Gospel Music. KINGS ROAD GROUP, INC. is a private Entertainment Holding Company that has worked primarily with major labels and major artists for years.
KRG offers what we call “LABEL MANAGEMENT SERVICES†to Labels, Independents, Production Companies and Artists. This includes General Consulting and overall Business and Marketing Campaign Management for establish entities, "start-up" ventures, CD, DVD & manuscript product releases and the ongoing oversight of the day to day operations of the label/venture.
We also offer additional modules such as A&R, artist development, songwriting, record production, remixes, mastering, business management, label structure, independent marketing & promotion services, radio promotion, street promotion, video production & promotion, retail account management, publicity, distribution (digital, brick & mortar ), (domestic & foreign) digital rights management, ringtones, wallpapers, etc.
We are not a Record Label or "traditional" Artist Management, therefore we do not sign of fund talent. We provide a needed service which allows us to offer the same infrastructure and management oversight one would have access to if signed to a major label or distributor. Thus allowing the client to function and operate as their own label entity or simply just record and release product in the marketplace with the proper support team behind it.
We develop research & write marketing plans, marketing analysis, marketing budgets & forecasts, release schedules and set-up strategies for initial "roll-outs", including pre set-up work with trade publications, radio stations, retail outlets, media outlets, My Space campaigns, fan club bases, etc. In addition we offer artist development and artist consultation services as well. This allows us to advise and consult entities in a role and fashion similar to a traditional "manager/artist" type relationship, as well as provide many more services that most "traditional" managers are not in position to do.
We are a "services for hire" company (we charge a fee, based upon the exact services needed) that can help with all aspects of a clients career including securing distribution, artist development, production, remix's, set-up and structuring of label ventures, corporate sponsorship and endorsements, deal structuring and negotiations, all forms of marketing and promotion including radio, retail, street and video promotions, digital rights management, online campaigns, etc.
We feel these services are very timely based upon the drastic changes that have occurred within the industry in the last 24 months. Record labels are being forced to restructure the way they do business due to many variables including declining CD sales. Accordingly, labels are no longer signing anywhere near the amount of product they once did and the deals their now offering are basically an insult to the creative entity. Thus as many see it, it's once again, "the day of Independents". Labels are looking to see "grass roots campaigns" that blossom into true sales figures and legitimate fan bases before they get involved. In the long run this will work out in the Independent’s favor, as they will be in a stronger position of negotiation and be poised to secure better placements such as "distribution deals" as opposed to a standard "artist deals".
