short biography
the viennese producer and dj trio - dj buzz, the bionic kid & dj zuzee - has expanded the borders of hiphop on the map and dared trips to new musical territories without losing the matter of course and spontaneity in it's style of production. live elements combined with sample related hiphop production and turntablism gives the project its very own special flavour. 3 very different characters , tastes and methods, that lead to the required and sometimes unpredictable result - best describable by the term "turntable jazz" and best to be experienced at their live show: featuring the infamous twintowas on drums & bass, special guests like rapper manuva or deph joe, andi schreiber [jazzviolin] and others. a wicked fusion of hiphop, turntablism, jazz, rock & electronics - abstract, thrilling & definitely unpredictable.
the first 12inch of the fourth full length album COUNTERFiGHT - A STRANGERS WORLD - including remixes of the viennese d&b sharpshooters iLLSKiLLZ & Dj DSL , was released on the 04.03.2004. after a short break, the second 12inch ROLL WiTH THE PUNCHES featuring big dadas brillant TY was dropped on the 29th of april, including mixes of sofa surfer i-WOLF & viennas electronic future funk wizzard STEREOTYP
on the 17.05.2004, their last album COUNTERFiGHT finally got released, featuring uk rap legend BLADE , TY , DJ VADiM , LYRiCL + ANDREA CLARKE, the philly based SCHOOLZ OF THOUGHT , jazz musicians from austria and many more.
beside the waxos recordings and live shows / dj sets, the single members engage in different other projects. dj zuzee performed as a dj with the austrian jazz trio CAFE DRECHSLER . beside his broken beat outfit CiRCUS , the bionic kid has joined the vienna based nu jazz group FORMS OF PLASTiCiTY .
