About Me

Joey has been Djing over-seas for the past 5 years in countries such as Malaysia, Holland, and Australia before deciding to come home to his native city of Toronto, where he changed his Dj name to Joey Sloan Jr after his father Joey Sloan passed away. After the passing away of his father, Joey decided it was time to continue his father’s musical legacy and start producing his own tracks. He also decided to write his first novel incorporating all of his wild international adventures into his first novel called Pain to Passion and the Mission. This is a new age story about a character named Johnny Freeman and his life journey which later develops into a quest and search to find himself and his place in life.Life without music of all genres to Joey is like a bird and no wings.. it has changed his life in so many ways which is why he has such a strong passion for production and djn. He has gone through many hard knocks over the years dealing with the loss of a best friend and his father that he now has turned all that pain into passion! Joey is also a high school teacher during the day at an inner city school in the east end of toronto, where he not only teaches students the art of music, but also the art of perseverance and resilience. To listen to more of Joey’s music check out his facebook wall and add the imeem application. As Joey always says reach for the stars but cherish your breath so when it comes to the end you’ll have everything left.God Bless
