Reza-Rec

Reza-Rec a.k.a Robert Connolly was born in Brooklyn NY where he lived with his grandmother and aunts. Brooklyn was full of gangs and drugs at that time. Through it all, Rob found pleasure in the variety of music the culture had to offer like reggae, R&B, Spanish music and rap to name a few.At the age of 12, Rob and his younger brother moved in with his mother, who lived in Boston Massachusetts. His mother was now at a point in her life where she could care for her two sons after a marriage that went wrong. Robert’s father ended up in jail and was deported for selling drugs among other things. Rent was high so they moved to Brockton where Rob attended junior high and high school.Brockton had its own share of gangs and drug dealers, too. Even though he was always around it, he never participated in any illegal acts. Then one day out of the blue Rob was walking home from playing basketball at the park and a voice said to him "Go To Church". Scared and confused those words didn’t mean much to him until two years later when his friends invited him to a church in Brockton. He went to play basketball at the church and after a few Friday nights he was led to Christ.As he grew in Christ, Rob knew God had called him to preach the holy word. Rob was known in high school for his freestyle rhymes and beat boxing so he decided to use his gifts to lead people to Christ. Using his initials Robert E. Connolly and the resurrection REZA REC was born. Reza Rec has been rapping with Verbal Witness for over 8 years, now its time to lead people to Christ on a solo tip.He has opened for Corey Red and Precise / Disciple / Bobby Bishop / Lamar and others. Reza Rec has ministered at Rap Fest, Holy Hip Hop awards, Ohio showcase with Bobby Jones, Gospel Grill and local churches from Massachusetts to New York. Today, he runs the youth ministry with his wife Nicole and has a beautiful daughter named Zariah. All this while he is studying to be a minister.
