GoJenny

GoJenny surged from the ashes of the band Pee Shy some time in 1998, with some self-mutilating mush recordings using a 1 inch reel to reel in the kitchen of our long island city apt. With some serious assistance from producer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist Eric Morrison, Jenny Juristo Morrison managed to create a handful of songs over the years, which has ground to a huge halt in the last 2 or so years. This MySpace entry is to stimulate the production of future material. Future, please arrive. In the mean time, Jenny hosts a weekly internet radio show on http://www.free103point9.org entitled "After the Polka" every Sunday from 3 to 5 pm. Shows can be later podcasted on http://www.screwmusicforever.com. The tremendous gaps in creation and performance of said gojenny can rest firmly on the shoulders of my two genius sons. Their magnificence and simplicity surpass anything I could ever come up with. They consume me and leave me breathless. I don't have words. I sit sated and brimming with what they bring me. Slapping those precious bare feet down the hall, so insistent, so demanding, so beautiful. I beseech thee to glance at my blog selections up above, so you can hear a Mike O'Neill song on the podcasts. I thankfully sing and perform with Leels (an annual occurence these days), "sit in" with Errant Strike when I'm in town, and back-up the ever-so-captivating Megan Reilly here in NYC..... it feels so good to harmonize with Megan's truly unique voice.
