This profile was created to honor and remember the drummer of Malice Mizer, Kami, who tragically passed away of a subarachnoid hemorrhage on June 21 of 1999. Upsetting as this is, this is not a place to go into hysterics about how sad it is that he departed. This profile is a dedication to his life, not his death. Kami was always described as a very happy person, so let's keep it nice and happy here, alright? Please, NO sob-worthy comments/messages. Try and keep things optimistic, ne?

Kami began his drumming career with a band named 3P Mayonnaise. Soon after, he joined Kneuklid Romance and would eventually be asked by Yu~ki to join Malice Mizer. He initially declined the offer, but with persistence by Mana he finally took the job. He replaced Malice Mizer's first drummer Gaz before the band had an official release of their own.
Kami would remain the official drummer of Malice Mizer from their first album -memoire- until their last major label release, "Le Ciel". After this, Malice Mizer went on a short hiatus (due to Gackt's departure from the band). During this time, on June 21st, 1999, Kami passed away of a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Soon after, Malice Mizer would release a boxset in his honor entitled Shinwa. Shinwa collects a VHS tape with various footage of Kami and the band plus a three track CD which consists of music Kami himself had written.
New support drummers (such as Shue) would be called upon for future Malice Mizer releases, but Kami was never officially replaced. He forever remained a member of the band as the -Eternal Blood Relative-.

Some Fun Facts~
+Kami’s favorite animal is the butterfly, and he has a tattoo of a butterfly on his upper right arm. The butterfly also seems to be his usual representation in the band. (Much like Közi is often seen as a clown and Mana as a doll.)
+Kami collects perfumes. He owns over 80 bottles, and wears four of them. His favorite is a Brazilian fragrance by the name of “Ma Chérieâ€. (Actually, it's intended for teenage girls... XD)
+Kami decorates his walls with masks. He says the theme of his room is nostalgia.
+Kami sings backup in many of Malice Mizer’s songs.
+Shinwa, Kami’s memorial box, was released on his birthday, February 1.
+Kami enjoys cleaning.
+Kami’s favorite song is “Romance†by Penicillin.
+Kami claims that he loves gambling but is not very good at it at all.
+Kami enjoys going to arcades.
+His pillowcase is made of old costumes from Malice Mizer’s indie days.

+Kami is very interested in captains of old Japanese army. His favorites are Shingen Takeda and Masamune Date.
+Kami is also interested in seppuku (a samurai act of committing ritual suicide in order to redeem one’s honor.) and actually did a photoshoot of himself pretending to perform the act.
