About Me

THE SINGLE "JUST ANOTHER CRUSH" IS AVAILABLE ON ITUNES! Click to buy for $0.99!______________________________________________________ At the tender age of 17, Jasmine Miranda Crowe is an entire musical package. A singer, violinist, guitarist, songwriter, producer, recording artist and engineer, she has written over 35 songs in the past three years, combining and utilizing styles across the musical spectrum that include all genres. Her education began at age 3 when she picked up the violin. During her early years (age 5) she taught herself to sing by listening to Broadway musical recordings, most notably "Les Miserables" and "Phantom of the Opera." Growing older she gained stage experience by participating in student and community orchestras, chorale groups, and local theater. At age 14 she wrote her first song and began working in a local home studio which led her in her junior year of High School to obtain her GED early so that she could focus full-time on her music career. It has been over two years and she has been working in the studio daily on her first album, doing her own tracking, editing, and production work using state-of-the-art programs that include Pro-Tools, Giga-Studio, Melodyne, Sibelius, plug-ins such as BFD drums and Ivory, and Final Cut Pro for (music) video editing. "Because I had so much influence from Broadway musicals when I was younger, my first album has been (and is) quite a learning experience - the songs are sometimes built around irregular time signatures throughout, following the vocals. Playing violin my whole life, the way I viewed music and writing songs was very different than writing from a chordal instrument background such as guitar or piano. I picked up guitar at age 16 and now my writing style is quite different, my new material influenced by rock/pop and folk/singer-songwriter styles. The new material is already ready to record and compile into a second album although at the moment I am still focusing on completing my first album while simultaneously and continuously developing my new songs with a live band playing live shows. Right now I’m creating and developing a three-four piece band with bassist Athonwy. As for my fiddle, I’ve played with several different bands using different styles. I have the ability to sit-in with a band I’ve never heard before and play violin with them, fitting in with their style/groove/mood and complementing their songs. Currently I play in a rock band playing rock fiddle (my favorite!) on an electric Steinberg viola/violin." :) Aloha Jasmine Miranda Crowe ______________________________________________________ Playing electric fiddle with the Dave Seawater band @ Kope Kope performing "Good Guys Don’t Wear White" Sitting in with Aethyrus on electric violin @ Kope Kope performing "Returning" Performing in "A Christmas Carol" as the Ghost of Christmas Past singing Belle’s song Singing "My Romance" and "Summertime" accompanied by Dennis Alstrand at a Rotary dinner event Singing Fleetwood Mac cover "Dreams" at a Pow Wow Benefit "Star To Be" solo in Annie Performing w/Big Dave Little_______________________________________________
