Poiema

Don't you know there's a war going down?

About Me

Poiema: the greek word meaning "workmanship" or more liberally "work of art"... Poiema is an illustration of evolution, workmanship, creation and recreation, the human heart in the hands of the Master, not unlike an instrument in a master musician's hand. Singing songs of heartbreak and hope; faith and fallibility; the surge and surrender, an authentic and human response to the working of the One who is shaping us into His work of art. Poiema plays ubiquitous rock music: upbeat, grab you by the belt loop pop melodies wrapped in a razorwire blanket of thick layered guitars. Some moments will make you think of modern rock bigwigs like the Foo Fighters or Pearl Jam while other moments harken back to Crazy Horse or The Allman Brothers.
Poiema existed from December 2005 until December 2007. In its various incarnations the band consisted of: Andy, Danny, Hector, Kevin, Mike, Troy, and Justin.

Ladies and gentlemen, good night.
