MINDSTRESS was originally formed in 2002. A group with five, all-Filipino-American alternative-metal band based in San Diego , California . They started with the original line up former band mates Aaron (lead guitar) and Bernard (back-up vocal) who both left the group due to relocation two years after. With the remaining talented individuals; Bobby (front man/vocal), Jhing (bass), & Adrian a.k.a Yanyan (drummer) kept all their strength of mind, spirit, and courage to persistently strive for possibilities. In early January of 2006, Tegz (lead guitar) & Bogs (rythym guitar) two new guitarists came aboard to complete the heavy ensemble and tightly formed MINDSTRESS with their wholesome creativity. Within the first year on the making of their continuous exertion MINDSTRESS have already gained a great deal of respect and depicted a fine line that exemplifies reputation. The group performed in many different local venues in San Diego: (Dream Street, Epicentre, Pearl Lounge, The Other Side, The National Guard Armory, Ben’s Restaurant, & O’Connell’s ). North County : (The Knitting Factory, Zen Sushi Bar, & Cal State Fullerton College ). San Francisco Bay Area: (Beale Street Bar, Moose Lodge, & ABS-CBN Production). Las Vegas : ( Cheyenne Saloon) . Back in mid 2007, MINDSTRESS was also featured in ABS-CBN (Global North America International) Speak Out on TFC (The Filipino Channel) the program that provides news and entertainment to its viewers internationally . They’ve also played major concert along with renowned international artists: Bamboo, Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar, Cueshe, Introvoys, Barbie Amalbis, Kitchie Nadal, Francis Magalona, & Glen Jacinto (promoter/producer/artist) of a previous band called “The Teethâ€. Nowadays, the band is still standing strong working on numerous projects, gigs, promotions, productions and already have accomplished pre-releasing their very first self-titled independent album on March 28, 2008 (PINOY FEST '08 in San Diego, CA) Silently Revealed ® .
