Listen to Pink Widow.

About Me

.. I like simple pleasures: writing music, sleeping in, deep blue skies, just being with friends, good ice cream, when Newcastle win, eating breakfast outside in the sun, beer gardens, barbecues, good films and good books.
I don't like: when people put songs on their myspace page and it interrupts what you're listening to, when bands ask to be my friend on myspace (that's the wrong way round), most TV ads, music that has no soul or energy, rain+cold+wind, mosquitos, being ill, tinnitus, second-hand smoke, the ridiculously fast unabating passing of time...

My Interests

Music, Guitar, films, gigs,...

I'd like to meet:

Ray Mears, and Bear Grylls, get them drunk and make them fight.
My money's on Ray, he may be older and fatter but he's got skillz that Bear's still dreaming of. Ray could fashion an AK out two twigs, a crab-apple and a handful of leaves and blow Bear away.
Me and Johnny Kingdom would have a pint and watch the whole thing, discussing how Bruce Parry could kick both of their asses.

Music:

I like a whole load of music, but laziness prevails, so, for all those who remember 'The Fast Show':

"This week, I 'ave mostly been listening to..."
Gallows
Converge
Botch
Devil Sold His Soul
Norma Jean
Cult of Luna

Movies:

Gladiator, Shaun of the Dead, Napoleon Dynamite, City of God, Die Hard, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, Memento, Evil Dead Trilogy, 28 Days Later, Night of the Living Dead, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pulp Fiction etc etc...

Television:

Arrested Development
Peep Show
The Wire
Spaced

Books:

His Dark Materials -Phillip Pullman
Nineteen eighty-four -George Orwell
Brave New World -Aldous Huxley
The Walking Dead Series -Robert Kirkman
DMZ Series -Brian Wood
A Canticle for Leibowitz -Walter M. Miller Jr.
Watchmen -Alan Moore
Redwall series =) ah those were the days...

Heroes:

George Oscar Bluth.

Johnny Kingdom, what a guy!

Omar Little

BEECHER - R.I.P. =(

So what must be one of the most under-rated British bands around fell out of existance in a deafening blaze of glory on Wednesday night. The gig was utterly amazing, and really moving. ...

Dimebag Darrell

I can't believe what happened to him. I wouldn't call myself a big Pantera fan, but I really like what I do have. I just find his demise so shocking. Seems kinda unreal. =/
