Clean Cash Present....... New Money......'Kings of Toronto'
Executive Producers Solo R.E.D. & New Money
Major League Pro a.k.a. Pro grew up in the streets of Markham. Always a big fan of rap music, Pro was constantly listening to hip hop artists such as Kool G Rap, Mobb Deep, Jay-Z, Fabolous, Big L, Big Pun, etc. It was only when he met a local producer named Snaz that he recognized the hidden talent that he had.
By taking his time and crafting top-notch lyrics and hooks, he quickly separated himself from other artists. Specializing in braggadocio rhymes and punch lines, Pro became well known around the city as one of Torontos best up and coming rappers. Even often regarded as one of the most lyrical, groundbreaking rappers in the history of Canadian rap music. Rapping was easy; the hard part was getting his music heard.
Together with some mutual friends, Pro helped form Clean Cash Entertainment in order to create a street buzz and pursue a musical career. He grinded throughout 2005, from selling mixtapes downtown during Caribana weekend, to making trips back and forth from Toronto to New York. The future is looking bright for Pro and the Clean Cash camp, as they continue to progress through the ranks, and above all, let the music speak for itself.....................
Chubbs was born in North Somalia located on the Eastern Coast of Africa. Two months after his birth, Chubbs and his family of six then decided to relocate to the Loan Star State of Texas, where he would find his true love for hip hop. Growing up listening to fundamental artists such as Raekwon, Scarface, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls and Nas who, respectively, all have creative styles of their own, it was not hard for the young artist to find his own style. In 1996 at the age of 11, his father received a business proposal, and Chubbs and his family were forced to move from the sunny streets of Texas to the streets of Toronto.
During this time, the rap game had changed drastically. Big and Pac were both shot and Jay-z and Nas were captivating the streets with classic albums like It Was Written and Life and Times Vol. 1". When Chubbs favorite rapper Biggie was pronounced dead, he steadily started following the work of Biggies protégé Shawn Jay-Z Carter. Intrigued with his work, Chubbs followed all of his projects to date and at the age of 14 he could spit any verse from Reasonable Doubt to Jay-Zs latest drop Vol. 3. It wasnt until the age of 18 that Chubbs finally pursued his career in hip hop seriously after meeting a studio engineer by the name of Solo Red who let him drop his first record First And Foremost. It was after that studio session that Chubbs realized that rapping was a reality and he could formulate a roster of personnel who understand the vision and would be willing to make it come true.
Clean Cash Entertainment formed April 2005 and have since released their debut album entitled Just A Matter Time and have currently sold over 10,000 copies worldwide.
