History
The beginnings of the band date back to 1997, when Wojtek and Piotrek
gave their first, acoustic concert. However, the year 2001 is considered to be
their real start. The first make-up was as following:
Piotrek - vocal
Wojtek - guitar & vocal
Krzysiek Nowak - bass guitar
Konrad Zielinski - drums
Konrad Zielinski was later replaced with Robert Markiewicz. This make-up
performed not only in Poland but also abroad, in Spain and Germany.
Debut concert award at the Opole festival in 2002 gave birth to the second
stage of their career. The band prepared a song, which was composed
by Romuald Lipko from Budka Suflera. So far it was the only
cooperation made with the 'older generation'. It was mainly due to
the lack of time to create their own piece. The song "Nie jestem inny"
gained in popularity and was played at the concerts till 2004.
After BRACIA's success in Opole they were qualified for the preliminaries
of Eurovision. The song they composed, "Missing every moment" came in
fifth place. At that time Bartek Krolik, who was better known as Barteq
from the group called Sistars, joined the band. Another new member was
Tomek Bidiuk from Lublin,who was responsible for arranging and keyboards.
This make-up of the band wasn..t able to record the album BRACIA had
always dreamt of. Consequently, there occured some changes. Barteq
focused on his group Sistars, Robert (drums) was replaced with Krzysiek
"Paton" Patocki (He cooperated with Kasia Kowalska), and finally Tomek
Golab on bass, who was an appreciated, young musician, joined in.
In the middle of 2004 the make-up was enriched by the second guitarist
.. Sebastian Piekarek, who like Paton performed, among other artists,
with Kasia Kowalska. While Piotrek and Wojtek appeared in the BAR show,
Tomek Bidiuk decided to leave the group.
All members of the band are crazy about King..s X music. Wojtek also
fancies a household group Deep Purple.
This year in May the expected album entitled Fobrock will be released.
Guys are the authors of the music as well as the lyrics.The band
has been called BRACIA since Piotrek and Wojtek left BAR show.
