About Me

Jose Armando Vasquez better known as Suave: El Nuevo Abuso was born June 28, 1982 in Chicago IL. Suave grew up in somewhat of a musical background. His god father, Rico Pizarro, is a well known House musician from the early 90's. Pizarro introduced Suave to some of the greatest House musicians of all times, Cool Rock Steady, Bad Boy Bill, and more, which made a life changing impact on Suave. He started producing his own music at the age of 12. Since day one, Suave's music left a ringing in everyone’s ear. It was something you wanted to listen to over and over again. Suave's diverse ear for music lead to diverse genres of music. As a musicial he has emerged as an outstanding producer. Suave has done production in reggaeton, bachatta, cumbia, salsa, hip hop, crunk, snap, house, techno, rock, heavy metal, as well as music that cannot be classified. Having a strong hispanic heritage and being influence by latin music from birth threw his mother, aunt, and grandma, Suave dedicated himself more to the hispanic music scene. At the age of15, Suave traveled to Puerto Rico and began working under one of the best known reggaeton producers of our time, Luny Tunes. In Puerto Rico is where Suave found himself and made his music more diverse. You could tell a Suave production as soon as you hear it. In 2000 Suave came back to Chicago to presue his own dream. In that same year, a group formerly known as Sudakial Family was formed and the evolution began. Sudakial Family became one of the best known groups through out the Chicago land area performing at every local scene possible as well as opening for Don Omar and Daddy Yankee at huge venue events. In 2005 Sudakial Family went their separate ways, but not before winning the Chicago Music Awards "Best Reggaeton Act" for 2005. Suave was still very dedicated to his music and wanted to produce for the best. With this said he began working with Guayacol Y AleNova, who were former members of Sudakial Family. They began working on song after song, hit after hit. Together they did countless appearances for radio, TV, and other local events introducing Chicago to a sound they've never heard before. With Guayacol Y AleNova on vocals and Suave doing production they were chosen to do a reggaeton jingle for Bud Lite Beer, which went on a promotion tour in 2006 promoting the jingle with live shows and radio commercials. Following this epidemic that was being created came another Chicago Music Award for "Best Reggaeton Artis" of 2006. Summer 2007 the album Demostando was release, include 16 productions by Suave. Suave's unique productions and mixing styles have made him one of Chicago's most recognized and versatile producers of his generation. Today, Suave continues his love for music and continues to stretch the limits, growing as an individual and a musician. With his dedication he plans on becoming one of the world's premiere producers known to man.
