William Washington was born in San Francisco, California. At the age of 3, he was relocated to Los Angeles, CA with his family where he has lived, studied, and trained. At the age of 17, he organized a martial arts demonstration team where they performed across the country. His innovativeness and tenacity launched their team to many victories. Incorporating his athletic ability with being a 4TH degree in Hapkido and 3rd degree black belt in Kempo, he also challenged himself at a young age to rodeo competition. William Washington’s unique style of fighting and competition was recognized by the entertainment industry and he was asked to work with Steven Segal in “Marked for Deathâ€.
Today, Mr. Washington has participated in over 200 films, commercials and music videos, such as “Johnson’s Family Vacationâ€, “Jurassic Park 3â€, “Rush Hourâ€, all of the “Candyman†movies and BET’s ten Arabesque novels. Music video’s include: Missy Elliott’s “Hit Em Wit De Hee†and Mariah Carey’s “Honeyâ€. His ability to conceptualize, create, and coordinate stunts that the consumer wishes to see has been much admired by audiences of all ages. William has doubled for: Denzel Washington, Charlie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Samuel L. Jackson, Laurence Fishburne and many additional actors.
His resilience as a stuntman garnered him several awards, including his “Players Club†fight scene which was nominated for a NAACP Image award. His amazing fight scene in “What’s Love Got to Do With It?†has also been recognized as one of the best ever on film today as well as his work in Michael Bay’s “The Rockâ€. William is noted the most extreme stuntman within his Hollywood colleagues. He is an active member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, PADI- Certified Open Water Driver, and excels in: High Falls,Precision Driving and Fire Stunts. In addition, he holds a card as a notable active member of the Director’s Guild of America.
His experience in working with Directors: Bill Condon (Dream Girls), Ice Cube (Are We There Yet), Spike Lee (Inside Man), Thomas Carter (Coach Carter) , Brian Gibson (What’s Love Go To Do With It), Kevin Hooks (Prison Break), and Guy Ritchie (Revolver) has further developed and cultivated his love, passion, and foresight to create beautiful films. Because of his extensive experience and hundreds of credits, William was compelled to create his own screenplays, the vampire drama, “Iceâ€, and the urban tale, “The Aftermath.â€. He has perfected the expertise required in sharing his vision within any viewing audience. Mr. Washington is an ultimate story-teller, with incredible ideas in which any astute investor or executive would assuredly respect. His future promises many financial rewards and a long lasting relationship with many feature film studio corporations.
