MUSIC! I love books, movies, some TV shows, hanging out with my husband and my friends; but right now my priority is my baby daughter.
Hmmm... I already have so many friends! I guess I'd like to meet other recovering persons and keep in better touch with the friends I have.
I have really eclectic tastes in music. I also play guitar. Sooo many different genres and styles interest me. Obviously The Beatles and Paul McCartney are my favorites, but I also love (in no particular order of rank): Ben Folds, John Mayer, Billie Holiday, Wilco, Ella Fitzgerald, The Rat Pack, The Black Crowes, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Thrills, CAKE, Coldplay, Chris Robinson, Wilco, Elliot Smith, The Strokes, Iron & Wine, Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, The Stills, Weezer, Michael Buble, Neil Diamond, Nick Drake, The Wallflowers, Elton John, Reverend Horton Heat, Bob Dylan, Robbers On High Street, The Shins, Rufus Wainwright, Simon & Garfunkel, THE TRANSFERS, etc., etc. I told you it was varied!
The Beatles "A Hard Day's Night" is my favorite. Clerks. Girl, Interrupted; The Royal Tenenbaums; Grosse Pointe Blank; The Good Girl; This Is Spinal Tap; a lot of indie films, really.
Pushing Daisies! The Office, Dexter, Smallville, Heroes, Weeds, My Name Is Earl, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force (Number 1 in da hood, G), Entourage, Boston Legal, Rescue Me, Monk, Mad Men...to name a few, ha ha. I watch way too much TV.
Jack Kerouac is my god of writing. Everything by David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Richard Brautigan. Lately I haven't been reading much fiction. I'm usually reading a biography or a memoir.
I guess I'd have to say my mom, who died when I was 10. I think about her often and wonder about all that she wanted to be. I am also enthralled by Jim Henson and everything he created. And of course The Beatles.
