In 1988 a beautiful monster was born.
Doc Strange was a child then,overwhelmed by the great wave of hip hop rawness that was the fabled Golden Era. Absorbing every release from every part of the nation, this young brother honed his craft battling other aspiring mc's throughout the entire North Texas area. Unique swagger and lyricism was and is the order of the day and the Good Doctor was prepping his musical approach for the people.
In 1992 Doc Strange enrolled at the University of North Texas with a UIL Speech/Drama scholarship and became a founding member of the Cooperative of Black Filmakers. He co-hosted an award winning
video show(Just Lougin') on NTTV and was featured on the Oakcliff Assasin's LP "A Hit on the Hitman.
Teaming up with childhood friend/DJ/beatmaker Byron"B-Down" Lacy in 1995, Doc Strange started a well recieved string of appearences on DJ B-Down's mix cd's and created a buzz in the Texhoma and Dallas area.
DJ B-Down featured more of their visceral productions on his top rated radio show "Street Heat" in Wichita Falls,TX on 103.9 FM. Dominating local hit or dis shows earned Doc a firm radio slot for several years thereafter. The IceKold story/union/style was now ready for the world.
